The NJ State Youth Art Month Exhibition Selects Three TCCS Students
The NJ State Youth Art Month Exhibition is a once in a lifetime opportunity for art students. Art teachers across the state submit their student’s artwork with only 6 pieces chosen per county. Artworks to be included in the exhibition were determined by a panel of art educators throughout the county. Three TCCS students have been selected, which fill half of the 6 available spots in Bergen County! Congratulations to Isabella B., Fiona W., and Karly R.!!
Students will have their art displayed at the formal exhibition on Friday, March 8, 2019, in Trenton’s capitol building. Sargent Art is generously sponsoring the 2019 YAM Design Contest. $100 worth of art supplies will be given to five contest design winners and; $200 in art supplies to the student’s art teacher.. A check for cash, $1,000 to one (1) overall design winner, awarded at the Youth Art Month Reception at the statehouse in Trenton. The student’s art teacher will receive an assortment of Art Supplies worth $1200
Youth Art Month was started in 1961 by the Art & Creative Materials Institute, Inc. (ACMI) and is held in cooperation with the National Art Education Association (NAEA). The program exists to encourage commitment to the arts by students and to highlight the value of art education.
